The Southend Education Action Zone (Extension) Order 2002

Coming into force

Whereas an application for the purpose of extending an Education Action Zone has been made to the Secretary of State with the consent of the governing bodies of every school participating therein.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 10(2) of the School Standards and Framework Act 19981 the Secretary of State for Education and Skills hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement1

This Order may be cited as the Southend Education Action Zone (Extension) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 1st December 2002.

Interpretation2

In this Order—

  • “Southend Education Action Zone” means the Education Action Zone established by the Southend Education Action Zone Order 19992.

The extension of the Southend Education Action Zone3

The Southend Education Action Zone is extended for a further period of two years beginning with 1st December 2002.
