In exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 1A(1) and (2) of the Immigration (Carrier’s Liability) Act 1987(1), the Secretary of State hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Immigration (Transit Visa) (Amendment No. 2) Order 2002.
2. This Order shall come into force on 9th November 2002.
3. In this Order “the 1993 Order” means “the Immigration (Transit Visa) Order 1993”(2).
4. In the Schedule to the 1993 Order, after “Uganda”, there be inserted “Zimbabwe”.

This Order amends the Immigration (Transit Visa) Order 1993 by adding Zimbabwe to the list of countries and territories set out in the Schedule to that Order whose nationals or citizens require a visa to pass through the United Kingdom in transit to another country or territory.
1987 (c. 24); section 1A was inserted by section 12(1) and (3) of the Asylum and Immigration Act 1993 (c. 23); section 1A is prospectively repealed by Schedule 16 to the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 (c. 33) but the repeal is not yet in force.
