(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations, which come into force on 11th November 2002, amend regulation 10(2) of the Asylum Support Regulations 2000 (as substituted by the Asylum Support (Amendment) Regulations 2002 (S.I. 2002/472)). They increase from £33.50 to £37.00 the total value, for any week, of asylum support in the form of vouchers redeemable for cash, or a cash payment, which may generally be expected to be provided weekly under section 95 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 in respect of the essential living needs of a person aged under 16. This increase will take effect on 11th November 2002. These Regulations also revoke the Asylum Support (Amendment) Regulations 2000 (S.I. 2000/3053).
