In exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by section 138(7) of, and paragraph 4 of Schedule 1 to, the School Standards and Framework Act 1998(1), the Secretary of State for Education and Skills hereby makes the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Education Action Forum (Proceedings) (Amendment) Regulations 2002 and shall come into force on lst October 2002.
2. Regulation 6 of the Education Action Forum (Proceedings) Regulations 1998(2) is omitted and instead is substituted:
“6. The quorum for any meeting of the Forum, and any vote on any matter at such a meeting, shall be one third of the membership of the Forum when complete or six people, whichever is the greater.”

These Regulations amend the existing provisions which set out the proceedings for Education Action Forums. The quorum required for a meeting on any issue is reduced to one third of the Forum members or 6 people, whichever is the greater.
