In exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by section 44(5) and (6) of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998(1) and section 214 of the Education Act 2002(2), the Secretary of State for Education and Skills hereby makes the following Regulations.

2002 c. 32. See section 212 for the definition of “regulation”. By virtue of that definition these regulations made by the Secretary of State apply only in relation to England.
