The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by section 3(1) of the Gaming (Bingo) Act 1985(1), and after consultation with the Gaming Board for Great Britain, hereby makes the following Regulations:

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Gaming Clubs (Multiple Bingo) (Amendment) Regulations 2002.

(2) These Regulations shall come into force on 12th August 2002.

2.—(1) In regulation 2 of the Gaming Clubs (Multiple Bingo) Regulations 1986(2) (number of games of multiple bingo that may be played on any bingo club premises in any period of 24 hours), for “three” there shall be substituted “five”.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the Gaming Clubs (Multiple Bingo) Regulations 1986 to increase from three to five the number of games of multiple bingo that may be played on any licensed bingo club premises in any period of twenty-four hours.
