ROAD TRAFFIC

This Order designates the district of East Dorset, excluding certain roads as set out in Article 3 of this Order, as both a permitted parking area and a special parking area in accordance with Schedule 3 to the Road Traffic Act 1991. It applies with modifications various provisions of Part II of that Act to the designated area and modifies the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 in relation to the designated area. It also modifies Schedule 3 to the Road Traffic Act 1991 in relation to the designated area to provide that parking offences in off-street car parks will not be decriminalised under the provisions of this Order.
