In exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by sections 47 and 138(7) of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998(1) the Secretary of State for Education and Employment hereby makes the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Financing of Maintained Schools (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2001 and shall come into force on 14th March 2001.
2. Regulation 28 of the Financing of Maintained Schools (England) Regulations 2001(2) shall be amended by the substitution of the table set out below for the table set out in paragraph (1) of that regulation.

These Regulations amend the Financing of Maintained Schools (England) Regulations 2001 by substituting a new table in regulation 28(1). This table sets out the specific amount, determined by the kind and size of the school, to be added to the amount determined under Part III of those Regulations in determining the budget share of a maintained school for the financial year beginning on 1st April 2001.
1998 c. 31. By virtue of the National Assembly for Wales (Transfer of Functions) Order 1999 (S.I. 1999/672) the powers conferred by these provisions are exercisable by the Secretary of State only in relation to England. For the meaning of “regulations” see section 142(1).
