The Magistrates' Courts Act 1980 (c. 43)

11.  In section 65(1) (meaning of family proceedings)—

(a) after subsection (1)(q) insert—

“(r) Council Regulation (EC) No. 44/2001 of 22nd December 2000 on jurisdiction and the recognition and enforcement of judgments in civil and commercial matters, so far as that Regulation relates to the recognition or enforcement of maintenance orders;”; and

(b) in subsection (2)(a) for “and (p)” substitute “, (p) and (r)”.

Section 65(1)(m) was inserted by section 15(4) of, and paragraph 7 of Part I of Schedule 12 to, the Civil Jurisdiction and Judgments Act 1982 (c. 27).
