Disqualifications for election and holding office as elected mayor5
In section 80 of the 1972 Act33 (disqualifications for election and holding office as member of local authority), in subsection (1)—
a
after “member of a local authority”, there shall be inserted “, and be disqualified for being elected or being an elected mayor,”; and
b
in subsection (a), after “appointments”, there shall be inserted “or elections”.
