1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the A508 (M1 Junction 15 to A45 Queen Eleanor Roundabout) (Trunking) Order 2001 and shall come into force on 29th June 2001.
(2) In this Order, all measurements of distance are measured along the route of the relevant highway.
2. The length of highway described in the Schedule to this Order shall cease to be a principal road and shall become a trunk road from the date on which the Secretary of State notifies Northamptonshire County Council that he is to become the highway authority for this length of road.
3. The centre line of the new trunk road is indicated by a heavy black line on the plan folio numbered HA 10/PS/244, marked “The A508 (M1 Junction 15 to A45 Queen Eleanor Roundabout) (Trunking) Order 2001”, signed by authority of the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions and deposited at the DETR Records Management Branch, Floor 13 (IMD), Ashdown House, St. Leonards-on-Sea, Hastings, East Sussex TN37 7GA.

The length of highway becoming a trunk road is the A508 from a point 125 metres south of the centre of the M1 Junction 15 in the Parishes of Milton Malsor and Courteenhall in the District of Northampton in the County of Northamptonshire to the A508/A45 Junction at the Queen Eleanor Roundabout in the Parish of Wootton in the District of Northampton in the County of Northamptonshire and is shown by a heavy black line on the plan folio numbered HA 10/PS/244, marked “The A508 (M1 Junction 15 to A45 Queen Eleanor Roundabout) (Trunking) Order 2001”.
