The Agricultural or Forestry Tractors and Tractor Components (Type Approval) (Amendment) Regulations 2001

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations, which apply throughout the United Kingdom, further amend Schedule 2 to the Agricultural or Forestry Tractors and Tractor Components (Type Approval) Regulations 1988 which specifies the Community Directives establishing type approval requirements with respect to the design, construction, equipment and marking of tractors and tractor components.

The Regulations also incorporate these changes into the Schedule which will be substituted for Schedule 2 to the 1988 Regulations by the Agricultural or Forestry Tractors and Tractor Components (Type Approval) (Amendment) Regulations 2000 with effect from 1st October 2004.

The Regulations implement—

• Commission Directive 2000/1/EC, on the coming into force of the Regulations;

• Directive 2000/25/EC of the European Parliament and Council, on the coming into force of the Regulations;

• Commission Directive 2000/19/EC, with effect from 30th June 2001;

• Commission Directive 2000/22/EC, with effect from 30th June 2001;

• Commission Directive 2000/2/EC, with effect from 1st October 2001;

• Commission Directive 2001/3/EC, with effect from 30th June 2002;
