The Health Act 1999 (Supplementary, Consequential etc. Provisions) Order 2000

2.  In section 24 of the National Assistance Act 1948 (authority liable for provision of accommodation)(1)–

(a) in subsection (6)(2), after “Secretary of State” there is inserted “, a Primary Care Trust”;

(b) in subsection (7)(3), after “1978” there is inserted “ , and “Primary Care Trust” means a Primary Care Trust established under section 16A of the National Health Service Act 1977.”
