School Teachers' Pay and Conditions
25. The following paragraphs shall be inserted after paragraph 32.5—
“32.5A In determining—
(a)for the purpose of paragraph 32.5(b) whether the remuneration payable to a classroom teacher by virtue of other provisions of the Document equals or exceeds the remuneration payable under paragraph 32; or
(b)for the purpose of paragraph 32.3 whether the salary under sub-paragraph (a), (b) or (c) is the highest,
a classroom teacher who is entitled to be paid a salary based on pay spine B for a period shall be treated as if he were entitled to be paid a salary based on the equivalent point on pay spine A for that period.
32.5B Paragraph 32 shall have effect subject to paragraphs 4A, 17.5(a), 17A and 23A.”.
