These Regulations deal with aspects of the Community Legal Service established by Part I of the Access to Justice Act 1999 (“the Act”) relating to costs, and, in particular:the giving of security for costs (regulation 6);the amount of a funded client’s resources for the purposes of section 11(1) of the Act (regulation 7);the procedure for quantifying a costs order against a funded client and for the making of a costs order against the Legal Services Commission (regulations 8 to 13);the determination of costs under an order for costs in favour of a funded client (regulations 15 and 16);the receipt and application of property and costs recovered on behalf of a funded client (regulations 18 to 24).
