The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by paragraph 2(1) of Schedule 3A to the National Lottery etc. Act 1993(1), and having received an application made for the purpose by the English Sports Council and the Arts Council of England, hereby makes the following order:

1993 c. 39. Schedule 3A was inserted by section 12(3) of, and Schedule 3 to, the National Lottery Act 1998 (c. 22). Paragraph 2(1) of Schedule 3A was amended (by the addition of sub-paragraph (6)) by paragraph 15(12) of the Schedule to the Scotland Act 1998 (Modification of Functions) Order 1999 (S.I. 1999/1756).
