The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 1(1)(a) of the Energy Act 1976(1), there being in force an Order in Council(2) under section 3 of that Act, and it appearing to him that the making of the Order is desirable for the purpose of conserving energy, hereby makes the following Order:—
1. This Order may be cited as the Liquid and Gaseous Fuel (Designated Filling Stations and Fuel Depots) (No. 2) Order 2000 and shall come into force at 5 p.m. on 13th September 2000.
2. For the purpose of the exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 1 and 2 of the Energy Act 1976 to make orders and give directions respectively the Secretary of State designates the further filling stations and fuel depots mentioned in the list entitled “Department of Trade and Industry: Third List of Designated Filling Stations and Fuel Depots” published by him on 13th September 2000.

This Order designates certain filling stations and fuel depots in order that the Secretary of State may make a further order or orders or give directions under the Energy Act 1976 by reference to such premises. The list setting out the filling stations and depots concerned is an additional list which supplements that referred to in article 2 of the Liquid and Gaseous Fuel (Designated Filling Stations and Fuel Depots) Order 2000 (S.I. 2000/2522). The list mentioned in article 2 of this Order may be viewed on the world-wide web at www.dti.gov.uk.
