Explanatory Note
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends the Immigration (Variation of Leave) Order 1976 to exclude from its provisions those who have made an application for variation of limited leave to enter or remain where the decision on the application is not made before 2nd October 2000. Instead, section 3C of the Immigration Act 1971 (continuation of leave pending decision), as inserted by section 3 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999(1), will apply to such persons.
