The Football Spectators (Prescription) Order 2000

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Football Spectators (Prescription) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 28th August 2000.

(2) In this Order “the 1989 Act” means the Football Spectators Act 1989.

2.  The Orders set out in Schedule 1 to this Order are hereby revoked.

3.  An association football match (in England and Wales) described in Schedule 2 to this Order shall be a regulated football match for the purposes of Part II of the 1989 Act.

4.  An association football match (outside England and Wales) described in Schedule 3 to this Order shall be a regulated football match for the purposes of Part II of the 1989 Act.

5.  The organisation established under section 57 of the Police Act 1996(1) known as the Football Banning Orders Authority is hereby prescribed as the enforcing authority for the purposes of Part II of the 1989 Act.

6.  The Chief Executive of the Football Association Limited shall be a prescribed person for the purposes of section 18(1) and (2) of the 1989 Act.
