1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Pipe-line Works (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2000 and shall come into force on 1st September 2000.
(2) These Regulations apply to any EIA application received by the Secretary of State after the coming into force of these Regulations.
(3) Notwithstanding their revocation by the Electricity Works (Environmental Impact Assessment) (England and Wales) Regulations 2000(1), the Electricity and Pipe-line Works (Assessment of Environmental Effects) Regulations 1990(2) shall continue to apply to any application under section 1 of the 1962 Act in respect of a pipe-line which is intended to convey oil or gas which is received by the Secretary of State before the coming into force of these Regulations.
