From a point on the south east bank of the River Yeo, 203 metres north west of the western corner of nos. 23–28 Castle Quay Court boundary.
To a point on the north west bank of the River Yeo, 11 metres south east of the south eastern corner of Corporation Yard.
A single span of 31.5 metres overall.
A swinging span of 15.5 metres.
A navigable span of 10 metres.
At Ordnance Survey grid reference SS553334 not less than 2.5 metres above the mean high water spring tide level of 4.7 metres AOD.
A minimum clear navigable waterway of 10 metres.
The bridge will be 4 metres wide overall and will carry a 3 metre wide cycletrack with a right of way on foot.
The bridge will be operated remotely from a 24-hour manned control room in Barnstaple where the bridge will be monitored by closed circuit television. The bridge will be operated following request to the control room via dedicated line telephone boxes with auto dialler located at the moorings in Rolle Quay and Castle Quay and also by the use of VHF radio.
