Pension sharing order not to take effect pending appeal
9.—(1) No pension sharing order under section 24B or variation of a pension sharing order under section 31(1) shall take effect earlier than 7 days after the end of the period for filing notice of appeal against the order.
(2) The filing of a notice of appeal within the time allowed for doing so prevents the order taking effect before the appeal has been dealt with.

Section 24B was inserted by paragraph 4, and section 31 was amended by paragraph 7, of Schedule 3 to the Welfare Reform and Pensions Act 1999.
