The Secretary of State for Social Security, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 23(1)(a)(ii) of the Welfare Reform and Pensions Act 1999(1) and sections 10(8) and (10) and 12A(8) of the Family Law (Scotland) Act 1985(2), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf hereby makes the following Regulations:
1985 c. 37. Sections 10(8) and (10) and 12A(8) were inserted by section 167(2)(b) and (3) of the Pensions Act 1995 c. 26. Section 10(10) contains a definition of “prescribed” relevant to the exercise of the statutory powers under which these Regulations are made.
