The National Health Service (Dental Charges) Amendment Regulations 1999

Coming into force
The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of powers conferred on him by section 79A of, and paragraph 3(2) and 3(3) of Schedule 12 to, the National Health Service Act 19771 and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:–
Citation and commencement1
These Regulations may be cited as The National Health Service (Dental Charges) Amendment Regulations 1999 and shall come into force on 1st April 1999.
Amendment of The National Health Service (Dental Charges) Regulations 19892
In regulation 4 of The National Health Service (Dental Charges) Regulations 19892 (calculation of charges), in paragraph (5), for “£340” in both places where it occurs there shall be substituted “£348”.
Revocation3
The National Health Service (Dental Charges) Amendment Regulations 19983 are hereby revoked.
Transitional Provisions4
Where, on or after 1st April 1999, appliances are supplied, or other general dental services are provided, in pursuance of a contract or arrangement for the provision of general dental services made before that date, regulation 4(5) of The National Health Service (Dental Charges) Regulations 1989 shall have effect in respect of that supply or other provision as if these Regulations had not come into force.
