POLICE

This Order appoints 1st April 1999 as the day on which all the provisions of the Police Act 1996 which are not already in force are to come into force and on which the provisions of that Act mentioned in paragraph 11(2) and (3) of Schedule 8 to that Act cease, in England and Wales, to have effect subject to the modifications set out in those sub-paragraphs. The provisions of the Police Act 1996 brought into force by this Order are:section 50(3),Part IV (including Schedules 5 and 6) other than section 88,paragraphs 43, 45 and 46 of Schedule 7,paragraph 12 of Schedule 8, andPart II of Schedule 9,
