2. The following organisations, that is to say—
“The organisation using the name “The Orange Volunteers” and being the organisation in whose name a statement described as a press release was published on 14th October 1998”; and
“The Red Hand Defenders”
are hereby added to Schedule 2 to the Northern Ireland (Emergency Provisions) Act 1996(1) (which specifies organisations which are proscribed organisations for the purposes of that Act).

Schedule 2 to the 1996 Act was amended by Article 2 of the Northern Ireland (Emergency Provisions) Act 1996 (Amendment) Order 1997 (S.I. 1997/1403).
