The A406 North Circular Road (Barnet) (50 mph Speed Limit) Order 1999

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, in exercise of his powers conferred by section 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984(1), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

1.  This Order may be cited as the A406 North Circular Road (Barnet) (50 mph Speed Limit) Order 1999 and shall come into force on the 26th July 1999.

2.  In this Order–

“the trunk road” means the North Circular Road (A406);

“the main route” means that length of the trunk road between a point 80 metres south-west of the southwestern kerbline of Clandon Gardens and a point 540 metres east of the eastern kerbline of High Road, Finchley, a distance of 2.3 kilometres;

“Finchley High Road north-east bound exit slip road” means that length of the trunk road lying to the east of Finchley High Road which links the main north-east bound carriageway of the trunk road with Finchley High Road;

“Finchley High Road north-east bound entry slip road” means that length of the trunk road lying to the east of Finchley High Road which links Finchley High Road to the main north-east bound carriageway of the trunk road;

“Finchley High Road south-west bound exit slip road” means that length of the trunk road lying to the west of Finchley High Road which links the main south-west bound carriageway of the trunk road with Finchley High Road;

“Finchley High Road south-west bound entry slip road” means that length of the trunk road lying to the west of Finchley High Road which links Finchley High Road to the main south-west bound carriageway of the trunk road.

3.  No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to be drive at a speed exceeding 50 miles per hour on any road or length of road specified in the Schedule to this Order.
