Designation as a public body
2. The following persons, who appear to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions and to the Secretary of State for Wales to be exercising functions of a public nature, shall be public bodies for the purposes of the Local Authorities (Goods and Services) Act 1970 in its application to England and Wales:
The Academy of Youth Limited(1),
Coronation Park at Launceston, Cornwall(2),
The New Opportunities Fund(3),
The Preston and Western Lancashire Racial Equality Council(4),
Renaisi Limited(5).

Established by section 43A of the National Lottery etc. Act 1993 (c. 39). Section 43A was inserted by the National Lottery Act 1998 (c. 22), section 7(2).

A private company limited by guarantee (Company No. 3532867). The company, which was originally incorporated under the name “Hackney Regeneration Agency Limited”, changed its name by special resolution.
