Coming into force
Whereas the Secretary of State is a Minister designated1 for the purpose of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 19722 in relation to measures relating to the safety of ships and the health and safety of persons on them;
Now, therefore, the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said section 2(2) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:–
