The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of powers conferred by sections 1(8), 26(9)(a), 29(1) and (6) and section 30(1)(1) of the Judicial Pensions and Retirement Act 1993(2), hereby makes the following Order–

(1)

Under section 30(1) of the Judicial Pensions and Retirement Act 1993 (c. 8), the Lord Chancellor is “the appropriate Minister” for the purposes of that Act in relation to judicial offices other than those whose jurisdiction is exercised exclusively in relation to Scotland.
