1. This Order may be cited as the Cambridgeshire (Coroners' Districts) (Amendment) Order 1999.
2.—(1) This Order shall come into force on 1st June 1999.
(2) This Order shall not have effect in relation to any inquest begun before the day on which it comes into force or to any post-mortem examination which, before that day, a coroner has directed or requested a medical practitioner to make.
3.—(1) The existing Cambridge City and Southern coroner’s district, Northern coroner’s district and Huntingdonshire coroner’s district of the county of Cambridgeshire shall be abolished.
(2) From the area comprising the coroners' districts mentioned in paragraph (1) there shall be formed the two coroners' districts named in the left-hand column of the Schedule to this Order which shall consist of the areas specified in the right-hand column of that Schedule.
4. The Cambridgeshire (Coroners' Districts) Order 1974(1) and the Cambridgeshire (Coroners' Districts) (Amendment) Order 1991(2) are hereby revoked.
