The East London and The City Health Authority (Transfers of Trust Property) Order 1998

Coming into force
The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 92(1) of the National Health Service Act 19771 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, having regard to the changes in the arrangements for the administration of hospitals and other establishments and facilities previously managed by the former East London and The City Health Authority resulting from the establishment of the National Health Service trusts specified in the Schedule to this Order, having consulted the East London and The City Health Authority and those National Health Service trusts in accordance with section 92(3) of that Act, hereby makes the following Order:
Citation, commencement and interpretation1

This Order may be cited as the East London and The City Health Authority (Transfers of Trust Property) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 28th April 1998.

In this Order—
“the Authority” means the East London and The City Health Authority;
“the Schedule” means the Schedule to this Order;
“the trust property” means, in the case of each National Health Service trust specified in the Schedule, the items specified in a schedule of trust property prepared by, agreed upon by and signed on behalf of the Authority and that National Health Service trust on 15th December 1997.
Transfer of trust property2
On 28th April 1998, in the case of each National Health Service trust specified in the Schedule, the trust property shall be transferred from the Authority to that National Health Service trust.
