Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations further amend the Merchant Shipping (Fees) Regulations 1996 (the “Fees Regulations”) and the Merchant Shipping (Port Waste Reception Facilities) Regulations 1997 (the “Waste Regulations”).

In addition to amending the table of statutory instruments in Part I of the Schedule of the Fees Regulations and correcting a reference to Part III of the Register of Ships, these Regulations amend the fees to be charged for certain services as follows:

The amendment to the Waste Regulations corrects the reference to the Merchant Shipping (Fees) Regulations 1996.
