Transitional provision about basic credit approvals
8.—(1) For the purposes of the issue of a basic credit approval under section 53 of the Local Government Housing Act 1989(1) to the National Crime Squad Service Authority in respect of the financial year beginning on 1st April 1998, section 67 of the 1997 Act (which amends the definition of “local authority” for purposes including the said section 53) shall come into force on 18th March 1998.
