Citation, commencement and repeal
1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Merchant Shipping and Fishing Vessels (Manual Handling Operations) Regulations 1998 and shall come into force on 31st December 1998.
(2) The following provisions are hereby repealed–
(a)section 18(1)(f) of the Children and Young Persons Act 1933(1);
(b)section 28(1)(f) of the Children and Young Persons (Scotland) Act 1937(2);
(c)paragraph 35 of Schedule 8 to the Children (Northern Ireland) Order 1995(3).
