In exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 19(5) of the Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors Act 1997(1), having satisfied myself that the rules made by the United Kingdom Central Council for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting and set out in the Schedule hereto are framed in accordance with the recommendations of the Midwifery Committee of the Council(2), I hereby approve those rules.
