The Secretary of State for Wales makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 10 and 326 of the Highways Act 1980(1) and of all other enabling powers:
1. The Llandeilo–Carmarthen Trunk Road (Pont-ar-Gothi By-Pass) Order 1976(2) is hereby revoked.
2. This Order shall come into force on 16th September 1998 and may be cited as the Llandeilo–Carmarthen Trunk Road (A40) (Pont-ar-Gothi By-Pass) (Revocation) Order 1998.

This Order revokes an Order made under section 7 of the Highways Act 1959 which provided for a by-pass of Pont-ar-Gothi in the County of Dyfed.
