The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Her Majesty, in pursuance of the powers conferred upon Her by the Colonial Boundaries Act 1895(1) and all other powers enabling Her in that behalf, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:—

1.  This Order may be cited as the Turks and Caicos Islands (Territorial Sea) (Amendment) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 9th June 1998.

2.  For the Schedule to the Turks and Caicos Islands (Territorial Sea) Order 1989(2) there shall be substituted the Schedule set out below:

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

The Order amends the Schedule to the Turks and Caicos Islands (Territorial Sea) Order 1989 by changing several of the basepoints following the publication of new charts covering part of the Turks and Caicos Islands (Admiralty Charts 1441, 1450 and 3914). These Charts may be obtained from Admiralty Chart agents world-wide, details of which may be obtained from the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office, Taunton, TA1 2DN.
