In exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by section 537A(4)(b) and 569(4) and (5) of the Education Act 1996(1), the Secretary of State for Wales hereby makes the following Regulations:

1996 c. 56; section 537A was inserted by section 20 of the Education Act 1997 (c. 44); for the meaning of “prescribed” and “regulations” see section 579(1).
