Citation, commencement and interpretation

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Housing Renewal Grants (Prescribed Form and Particulars) (Welsh Form and Particulars) Regulations 1998 and shall come into force on 1st April 1998.

(2) In these Regulations “the principal Regulations” means the Housing Renewal Grants (Prescribed Form and Particulars) Regulations 1996(1).

Forms of application for grant

2.  The form set out in the Schedule to these Regulations is hereby prescribed as a version in Welsh which may be used instead of the corresponding form in the Schedule to the principal Regulations for the purposes set out in regulation 2 of the principal Regulations.

Particulars for application for grant

3.  The particulars prescribed under section 2(2)(d) of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 in respect of any application falling within regulation 2 are the particulars required for that application by the form set out in the Schedule.

Application of Regulations

4.  These Regulations shall not have effect in relation to applications for a grant made before 1st April 1998.
