5.  In regulations 66 (additional requirements for applications in respect of a particular election) and 69 (closing dates for applications) of the Regulations of 1986—

(a)in paragraph (6)(a) of regulation 66(1) and paragraphs (1), (2) and (5) of regulation 69(2), for the words “noon on the thirteenth day” there shall in each case be substituted the words “5 p.m. on the eleventh day”; and

(b)in paragraph (6)(a) of regulation 66 and paragraph (3) of regulation 69(3), for the words “noon on the sixth day” there shall in each case be substituted the words “5 p.m. on the sixth day”.

Paragraph (6) of regulation 66 was amended by regulation 21 of the Representation of the People (Northern Ireland) (Amendment) Regulations 1990 (S.I. 1990/561).

Paragraph (2) of regulation 69 was amended by regulation 22(1) of the Representation of the People (Northern Ireland) (Amendment) Regulations 1990.

(3)

Paragraph (3) of regulation 69 was substituted by regulation 22(2) of the Representation of the People (Northern Ireland) (Amendment) Regulations 1990.
