Explanatory Note
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order, which is made under paragraph 20(1A) of Schedule 1 to the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Act 1963, increases, for Scotland, the various fees prescribed in paragraph 20(1) of that Schedule.
The fees were formerly: £133 for the grant of a bookmaker’s permit; £133 for the grant of a betting agency permit; £106 for the grant of a betting office licence; £16 for the renewal of a bookmaker’s or betting agency permit; and £20 for the renewal of a betting office licence.
