1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Act 1963 (Variation of Fees) (Scotland) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 10th February 1997.
(2) This Order extends to Scotland only.
2. Paragraph 20(1) (grant or renewal of permit or licence) of Schedule 1 (bookmakers' permits, betting agency permits and betting office licences) to the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Act 1963(1) shall be amended by the substitution, for sub-sub-paragraphs (a) to (e), of the following sub-sub-paragraphs:
“(a)in the case of the grant of a bookmaker’s permit, £160;
(b)in the case of the grant of a betting agency permit, £160;
(c)in the case of the grant of a betting office licence, £125;
(d)in the case of the renewal of a bookmaker’s permit or betting agency permit, £20;
(e)in the case of the renewal of a betting office licence, £25;”.
3. The Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Act 1963 (Variation of Fees) (Scotland) (No 2) Order 1991(2) is hereby revoked.
