The South East Water Limited (Extension of Byelaws) Order 1997

22nd February 1997

The Secretary of State, in exercise of powers conferred by section 19(6) of the Water Act 1945(1) and now vested in him(2), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the South East Water Limited (Extension of Byelaws) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 22nd February 1997.

Extension of water byelaws

2.  The following byelaws, which have effect as if made by South East Water Limited under section 17 of the Water Act 1945 (prevention of waste of water etc.), namely—

(a)the byelaws made on the 23rd February 1987 by the West Kent Water Company;

(b)the byelaws made on the 9th March 1987 by the Mid-Sussex Water Company; and

(c)the byelaws made on the 26th March 1987 by the Eastbourne Water Company,

shall remain in force until 30th September 1998.
