The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the Secretary of State for Scotland and the Secretary of State for Wales, being satisfied with respect to the non-indigenous mammalian species which are the subject of this Order that by reason of their destructive habits it is desirable to control the keeping of them and to destroy any which may be at large, acting jointly, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 10(1) of the Destructive Imported Animals Act 1932(1) and vested in them(2) and all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:
1932 c. 12; section 11 (interpretation) was amended by S.I. 1992/3302.
In the case of the Secretary of State for Wales, by virtue of Article 3(1) of, and paragraph 5(a) of Schedule 2 to, the Transfer of Function (Wales) Order 1969 (S.I. 1969/388).
