Protection from personal liability

3.—(1) This article applies in relation to a combined fire authority which has been constituted by a combination scheme which comprises only new principal areas and which, in accordance with section 23 of the Local Government (Wales) Act 1994, was made before 1st April 1996.

(2) A combined fire authority in relation to which this article applies shall, for the purposes of section 265 of the Public Health Act 1875(1) and section 39 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976(2) (protection of members and officers etc. from personal liability) be treated as if it were a local authority.
