The A23 Trunk Road (Croydon) Red Route Traffic Order 1997 Variation Order 1997

The Traffic Director for London, in accordance with a direction given to him by the Secretary of State under section 58(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1991(1) and in exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984(2), and of all other enabling powers, hereby makes the following Order:—

Commencement and citation

1.  This Order may be cited as The A23 Trunk Road (Croydon) Red Route Traffic Order 1997 Variation Order 1997, and shall come into force on 1st December 1997.

Variations

2.  The A23 Trunk Road (Croydon) Red Route Traffic Order 1997(3) is varied as provided by the following provisions of this Order.

3.  In the title preceding article 10 the word “Suspension” is substituted with the word “Revocation”.

4.  For Article 10(1) substitute—

10.(1) The Croydon (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1977, Order No. 23; the Croydon (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1991, Order No. 20; the Croydon (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1991, Order No. 27; the Croydon (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1991, Order No. 34; and the Croydon (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1993, Order No. 23; as amended, are hereby revoked, in so far as their provisions relate to any part of the trunk road red route.

5.  Article 10(2) is deleted.

6.  In the table in Schedule 2B for item 8 substitute—

Brighton Road, Purley – north west side, between a point 2 metres south west of the party wall between Nos. 102 and 104 Brighton Road and a point level with the party wall of Nos. 116 and 118 Brighton Road.

7.  In the table in Schedule 2D item 1 is deleted.

8.  In the table in Schedule 3B for item 2 substitute—

between a point level with the party wall of Nos. 116 and 118 Brighton Road and a point 15 metres south west of that point.

9.  In the table in Schedule 4 item 43 is deleted.
