Exemption of construction and property services
3.—(1) The provision of construction and property services(1) by the council of the City of Gloucester shall not be treated as a defined activity so long as those services are provided before 31st March 2001.
(2) In this article “works” means the construction, improvement, maintenance or repair of roads for the maintenance of which the authority are responsible.

Section 2 of the Local Government Act 1988 was amended to include the defined activity of construction and property services by S.I. 1994/2888.
