This Order brings into force the provisions of section 20 of the Finance Act 1997 on 8th October 1997. Section 20 amends paragraph 3 of Schedule 2A to the Vehicle Excise and Registration Act 1994 which relates to the power of the Secretary of State to make regulations prescribing the circumstances in which an unlicensed mechanically propelled vehicle which is stationary on a public road may be removed.

Section 20 of the Finance Act 1997 (removal and disposal of vehicles) shall come into force on 8th October 1997.
