1. This Order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) (Amendment) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 20th October 1997.
2. The Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978(1) shall be amended as follows—
(a)for the provisions of Schedule 1 to that Order (which lists disinfectants approved by the Minister) there shall be substituted the Schedule set out in Schedule 1 to this Order;
(b)for the provisions of Schedule 2 to that Order (which lists disinfectants subject to transitional provisions) there shall be substituted the Schedule set out in Schedule 2 to this Order; and
(c)in article 6(2) of that Order (which specifies the date until which the disinfectants subject to transitional provisions remain approved) for the words “30th June 1995” there shall be substituted the words “31st December 1997”.
3. The Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) (Amendment) Order 1994(2) and the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) (Amendment) Order 1996(3) are hereby revoked.
